These babies cost around $200!!! I can't afford that. Well, I can, but it will lessen my chance to ever get an iPhone, which I am saving for. I decided to make a similar one.
Today, my mom brought me to Trinoma (a mall) to buy me a new pair of shoes because my old one smells. She said I should buy a brand named Sanuk. They are not shoes. They are sandals.
I bought this black Sanuk. It looks cool. The best part is the laces are not there to secure my feet. They are just there for design, which means the securing job is done with garter. The laces work the same way as usual.
After dreaming about the Adidas shoes for a lot of hours, I decided to make my own. With my new sandals, not shoes, I was able to make one. Check it out.

It is not bad, is it? I think this is a great craft for those who are fans of Percy Jackson.
Materials needed:
- pair of shoes with laces (preferably Converse if you want to have that Percy Jackson look)
- foam craft paper
- marker. One that works on foam
- printer
- paper (letter size)
- pen
- pencil
- scissors
Step 1:
Buy a pair of shoes with laces. Maybe, you can buy one that is Converse.
Step 2:
Print out this template made by someone in Youtube. Print it in a way that the wings will fit perfectly.
When you have your template done, you are off to step 3.
Step 3:
Get your foam craft paper thing. Any color of your choice. Place the template over it. With your pen, pencil, scissors, make a crease by drawing over the lines of the template. By doing this, you will leave a mark on the foam.
Step 4:
Trace the mark with a pencil. Use a flash light to show the shadows of the lines to make it easier.
Step 5:
Trace the pencil with your marker. Be careful not to smudge the marker while it is still wet. I learned that the hard way.
Step 6:
Cut the wings. Leave a 1 centimeter allowance around the wings because that is how Adidas made theirs.
Step 7:
Place your wings over the shoes' lace holes and draw a dot on each place where there is a hole. Then punch the dot with a pen or punch it with a puncher. I used a pen.
Step 8:
Fix your wings in by using the laces to fasten it in.
TADA!!!! you have your very own Adidas inspired shoes. Hope you like it.

TIP:
Make a lot of wings with different kinds of colors, so the next time you go out, you will wear a different color. When white feels boring, use yellow.
